Tv will not go on standby and when When try to watch programes just get blank screen saying AVR and numbers?
I have a samsung Tv and a seperate wharfdale digital recorder.
What should I do?
Your TV circuit detects that power supply is not enough to operate it normally, it has low voltage coming in. That is why it has a blank screen and tell that AVR or Automatic Voltage Regulator must be checked for its low output voltage supply. Your AVR device I suspect has a low voltage output or a low wattage capacity that is not capable to operate a dual device like TV and Digital Recorder at the same time.
You are in UK which has a power supply of 240V in wall outlet. So your TV and Digital Recorder operate in 240 Vac and your AVR must also have an output voltage of 240V and a Wattage of about 2000Watts or more to accommodate the higher wattage rating capacity of the appliances plugged in there.
