How do I get my PC to support my SATA Drive?
I have an MSI K8N Neo4 Motherboard (platinum) so it has 4 SATA data ports. Whenever I put my SATA Drive in, my computer freezes at the MSI logo screen which appears before the “Primary Secondary Master Slave” black screen thing happens. When I put it in my dad’s computer it works fine. Originally I had thought my PSU was not powerful enough to support it, but when I upgraded it still did the same thing.
so it work with out the hard drive? if so then you might try flashing your BIOS. check with your mother board manufacture for a the proper utilities and double check every thing. also if you have a floppy drive if the power cable is miss aligned it can cause weird symptoms.
