I’m having trouble uploading pictures from camera to laptop.?
Recently got a camera from a Friend, A vivitar x325 digital camera i have took a few photos with it ok, i have also installed the driver for the camera that came in the box i hook up the cables from camera to laptop via usb port, i turn on the camera and i have 3 options, “PC” “PC Cam” and something else called picture bridge or something. so… i select “PC” And nothing happens with the camera only the laptop… the screen goes black and doesent come back on and basically freezes, so i have to turn it off with the button. and its really annoying, as i cannot upload my pictures to my laptop please somebody help me.
You said that you downloaded the driver, but did you tell the driver to run once you downloaded it? Yes, PC is the right option. PC cam will turn your camera into an instant webcam. Disconnect the camera from the computer. If you can not find the driver to run it, and turn it on (only have to do this the first time) go into your add or remove software, unistall it and when you re install it, install it on your desktop, you can move it later. After installing it, right click it, open and it should take you through the motions to turn it on. Then restart and connect your camera, choose PC on your camera, then if you don’t get the black screen again, go to MYCOMPUTER and choose the option E or F whichever USB you have it connected and you should be able to drag and drop your pictures from there if you do not have another compatible program.
