New Pocket Sized Camera Developments
Solid technology and ease of use are among the never ending wonders of pocket sized cameras. They take ever clearer, crisper photos with vivid colors and details. Everyone has their preferences about things such as photo qualities, i.e. softness of objects, and the the accessories needed. When a camera maker concentrates on one area, however, other areas can suffer. The following discussion will help acquaint you with three pocket sized cameras. Our first review is of the pespectable Fujifilm FinePix F80EXR. One thing that may appeal to some is this camera’s mega-zoom feature. The 12 megapixels of this camera are great for large prints. And considering its advanced functions, it is a reasonably priced camera. The EXR sensor offers three different modes to choose from. This means the F80 is like having three cameras in one. There are three modes: highest possible resolution mode; optimum dynamic range mode; and the lowest possible noise mode. Taking it a step further, the F80EXR will also automatically analyze the scene and make the best choice for you.
Next on the chopping block is a neat little camera put out by Sony called the Cyber-Shot DSC-T100. This camera features face detecting technology that has been patented by Sony. Other noteworthy features of the Cyber-Shot DSC-T100 include 8 megapixels, a 3 inch LCD display, and 5x zoom. For example, flash metering for the correct amount of flash exposure which will help with the proper flesh tones. Then there is the exclusive image processing capabilities that Sony has only continued to improve upon. The advantage of this kind of on-board image processing allows for increased battery life, decreased response requirements, as well as better image quality.
The Canon PowerShot S95 is a good camera for those who like to work with their hands as it has several manual features. This little gem takes note worthy photos as well. It’s an ultra-compact digital with a more reasonable 10 megapixels, includes a multimedia card, SD memory card, and a 3 inch LCD. It use the pop-up variety of flash. Many of these great features were brought forward from the S90. The video resolution is one area they improved, bumping it up to 720p. The newer version also allows you to capture up to three photos at different intervals of exposure. The camera process these exposures to produce a single image with much more detail.
There are many terrific digital pocket sized cameras with many fabulous features. We’re seeing more follow ups now, to correct the short comings in previous models that weren’t noticeable until after production. But that is fine with many people, and us, as well.
