Camera Brand?
ok so i need a good camera.
which brand do you prefer out of
-Olympus
-Nikon
-Canon
also if you have a good camera you use (preferabbly one of those three brands) then would you reccommend it? thanks 
You made a good selection. All three are well established camera makers that have the experience and reputation of being really top notch, unlike otherwise great brands, like Sony, Panasonic, and the like, that jumped into a hot digital market, but have not camera making experience.
If I was to go ahead and suggest a camera to someone I know, I would’ve told them to pick one of these three. And also Pentax, perhaps.
I think from here it’s more a matter of your personal choice. Go to a local camera store, and handle each camera, try to look through viewfinder or LCD, mess with controls and menus, see which one lies better in your hands. Which is more intuitive to you, and which you like overall. Then maybe once you narrowed it down to 2-3 specific models, see if http://www.dpreview.com/reviews has review of them, and check out what they tell. And that’s about it…
Don’t buy a camera somebody suggested to you. They may love it for the reasons that are indifferent to you (ahhhh, it’s PINK!!!!), but may ignore something that would be your top priority. Since you are the one who’s going to use that camera, you need to pick one that’s good for you, not for them…
But again, let me reiterate – All three brands are great!
Over past 8-10 years I owned and/or dealt with all three brands. I had an Olympus SLR and also one of their older super zooms C740, and than hot wide angle 5060, Used and still use Canon S2IS and my wife is pretty happy with her Canon A520 that fits into her purse, also I love my two Nikon SLR’s. They are all great cameras. If you pick one that’s more intuitive for you – you won’t regreat it!
