Is it worth buying a tripod for my Canon power shot sx30 is?
I have just bought a bridge canon power shot camera and I was wondering if it was worth buying a tripod? I know nothing about tripods, but they seem well recommended, photography is just a hobby for me, is it worth it?

If you want to do long exposure photography, macro photography, self-portrait photography, etc. then a tripod is a must for getting TACK sharp images.
A tripod will make the difference between on ok, soft image vs. an awesome tack sharp image.
