is may car worth more with body kit or without?
my 1997 accord is all stock right now. it has a lot of body damage. no major dent but a whole lot of minor body damage. I have a jdm black widow body kit and jdm headlights and tail lights. If I wanted to trade it in at a dealer would it be worth more with the body damage and all stock, or with after market kit, damage fixed and after market body kit.
Nothing can make your car worth more to a dealer except for getting all the body work done and repainting it. But the cost of all that wouldn’t be worth it because you’ll never recover it at trade in. And it also would also exceed your car’s current market value.
As it is, it’s doubtful any dealer will take it in trade. The car is 12 years old with a lot of body work needed. If a dealer does accept it, don’t expect more than $100 for it.
BTW … if you put the body kit on it, for sure no dealer will take it in trade. They don’t want an old, beat up car with boy racer mods on it. Those kits can only add a little value if you sell it yourself.
