2 mp is better than 1.3 mp. A megapixel = 1 million pixels, which is basically 1 million dots of light projected from your screen. For example, a 2 megapixel shot might be 2000×1000 pixels. as opposed to a 1.3 mp shot that measures 1000×1300 pixels.
