why is digital satellite freesat only available from Sky? Shouldn’t it be open to competition?
for people living in areas where you need a satellite to get digital, you can only buy freesat from Sky. Isn’t that ridiculous, I don’t know why it’s not available from different companies.

Well quite a lot of people live in areas where the digital signal is only available from Freesat, so by turning off the analogue signal, the government is making us pay150 pounds to a private company.
The BBC are starting a Satellite service next year called FreeSat on the SES Astra / Eutelsat satellites at 28.2 and 28.5 East.
