How To Coordinate A Fun, Yet Cost-effective Baby Shower
Even though the current economic conditions are strained, people are just as interested as ever in throwing special baby showers for their friends. The key to doing this in a down economy is to cut corners in areas that won’t be noticed. There’s no reason that can’t begin with the free baby shower invites and include the decorations and any scrapbooks created to commemorate the event.
One method for doing that is to use good free baby shower clip art. Often you can find cool free images online. Just search for “free baby shower clip art,” plus the type of image you want. For example, if you want baby girl clip art, enter those words or some variation of them in the search box. That will work with almost any baby shower theme you can think of, although the more obscure the theme, the less results a search will garner. If when you search you can locate images that have high resolution, you’ll open up more options for using it. That’s because print projects such as invitations or decorations require high resolution images. You certainly wouldn’t want to use low-resolution clip art because the end result won’t be clear. That would never do for the invitation or decorations for this special day.
Baby shower clip art isn’t the only free resource you can find on the ‘Net. There are also many sites that present free baby scrapbook pages. Many scrapbook paper and embellishment designers give away no-charge versions of their baby scrapbook layouts to promote scrapbook designs they sell or to get people to come to pages that have advertising. Use of either model means they have financial incentive to offer free scrapbook papers and embellishments. Either way, the new mom wins! There are almost as many baby scrapbook themes as there are fish in the ocean, so that means you’ll probably be able to make shower invitations and decorations from them if you can’t find suitable clip art. Themes range from silly and fun to retro to luxurious and classy. If the mother-to-be likes retro you might want to do a search for vintage baby scrapbooking embellishments. A mom-to-be who is into that kind of art would probably be thrilled to have that as her baby shower theme!
It goes without saying that all the clip art, scrapbook papers and embellishments can also be used to preserve baby shower memories forever in a baby shower scrapbook that would make an excellent gift for the mom-to-be. This means the time you spend looking for images will pay off over and over, giving the new mom a baby shower she’ll remember forever.
