Also, what would you say is the market value of the Nikon D40 and D60b(used)? Your opinion is fine but sources would be appreciated.

A quick way to test the value of anything is to use Ebay’s Advanced Search next to the usual search window. Enter ‘Canon EOS Digital Rebel 300D’ into the search window. Make sure the ‘Completed Listings Only’ box is checked it will return a list of all the listings in the last month or so, what price they fetched and wheter they sold or not.
Just done a quick list in the UK site and got one which sold for £565.00 !! Due to the lenses that were included not the camera, but usually they go for around the £200.00 mark.
