Better for night landscapes: Nikon D60 or Canon XSi?
I like both models equally for ergonomics but have heard the Nikon is better at higher ISOs and treats low-light better. The Canon gets raving reviews and is overall a newer camera. Both feel too small in my hands but pricing restricts my choice to these two. Anyone have any insight on low-light performance based on camera body only? Thanks.

You will probably take night landscape photographs using a tripod and low ISO settings so low-light treatment is not an issue. At any rate the Nikon is better, but it’s not like the Canon is bad: it is better than DSLR’s of 4-5 years ago, and people were shooting excellent night landscapes with those.
Mounting a battery/vertical grip is the best way to cope with a small camera body. You can get one for the Canon, but not for the Nikon. To me that’s a deal breaker.
