What does it mean when you zoom in on a camera and the center focuss goes red?
I have a FinePix Z 10 camera and when I focus, the centrer trigger thing in the camera goes red when I am finishing focusing and it says FM in the corner. When I am done taking the picture, the picture seems more blurry then when it focuses and the centre trigger stays white.
Why does my camera do this?
I lost my manual, that’s why I am asking. Does anyone know if there is an online manual I could read?
The center trigger or “focus indicator” goes red when the FinePix Z10 can’t focus on the subject or scene.
Some reasons why it can’t focus:
1. You are too close to the subject while zoomed in
2. It’s too dark for the camera to focus
3. The subject lacks contrast (like blue sky)
